CheckPointin Timo ja Nicholas pöydän äärellä

CheckPoint strengthens its expertise by acquiring Graaf’s business operations

On April 1 2023, CheckPoint has acquired Oy Graaf Ab’s business operations, which means that Graaf’s existing contracts will be transferred to CheckPoint as such.

According to CheckPoint board member Timo Yli-Salomäki, the reason behind acquisition of Graaf’s business operations was primarily the company’s desire to grow and strengthen its artwork expertise for publications and magazines.

“The amount of our publication work has been constantly growing, and when we were offered the opportunity to acquire Graaf’s business, we saw it as a natural continuation for CheckPoint’s business development. Our goal is to diversify our magazine layout expertise and the quality of our service even further,” says Timo Yli-Salomäki.

“Graaf will form its own subdepartment at CheckPoint, where Graaf’s current employees Mika Huovinen, Unna Kettunen and freelance graphic designer Christina Lax will continue their work. With the change in ownership, Graaf’s current customers have at their disposal an even wider group of professionals and a more versatile service portfolio, including creative design and digital services,” says CheckPoint CEO Nicholas Nordström.

“Graaf’s current personnel will continue to operate as usual, offering high-quality and cost-effective solutions for the graphic design needs of companies. The merger of the companies improves the range of services and brings benefits to all customers of Graaf and CheckPoint,” says Graaf CEO Mika Huovinen.

CheckPoint was founded in 2007 and currently the company employs 16 people. CheckPoint has maintained its position as an important partner for its customers and has grown its operations in recent years.

“We have become an invaluable everyday helper for many of our customers, and there is a constant demand for the services we provide. For this reason, we are able to develop our business and recruit skilled staff to strengthen our current expertise. This has not been a given in the prevailing market situation, and for this reason we are in a very fortunate position”, describes Nicholas Nordström.
